Greetings Spring Lovers,
Hope you are all enjoying the extra hours of daylight and have managed to feel the sun’s warmth creeping through onto your 2015 faces.Things have been super busy with #QuietQuietBand heading into Spring. We’re back in the studio writing new material (more on that later) and were stoked to receive a load of very nice features and reviews for our album Low Noon. We’ll be posting some links to some of these press gems in coming weeks.
If you haven’t heard the album then perhaps you should consider buying a copy? Head on over to our bandcamp to purchase a CD or download (or maybe a T-shirt?). If you prefer haggling then why not come and say hello at one of our forthcoming shows and grab a copy in person.
Are You Listening? Festival Reading
Around in Reading this Saturday? (18th April) then why not buy a wrist band for the Are You Listening? Festival (£12 advance / £15 on the day) to access some great live acts appearing across various venues around the town from 2pm- late. Run by the lovely chaps at Black & White Music and with all proceeds going to Reading Mencap, your in for a real treat. Anyone for all day bands and drinking?
Wristbands here.
Quiet Quiet Band are delighted to be involved and will be playing a full electric set at South Street Arts Centre (Main Room) at 8pm. The full festival planner and even planner App can be downloaded from the Are You Listening? wesbite.
The festival has some great names appearing including Pulled Apart by Horses, Dan Le Sac, Smoke Fairies and Many More. Some personal recommendations from QQB if you want to sample the local Berkshire offerings, why not head over to Bowery District to see Bellyeyesmile for some proper post punk madness and the wonderful twinkle grunge sounds of Pet Cat over at Pavlovs Dog.
New Tunes
If you have seen #QuietQuietBand at any of our last handful of live shows, you may of heard us performing So Much Rum- the first of the next run of news songs we are excitedly working on back at base camp. Well the flood gates are definitely breached and another new tune has snuck it’s way into our set so look out for Castles (alt. gypsy romp) coming to a set near you… (AYL??).

Thanks for Reading and hope to see ye’all soon. As a parting shot, see our next run of gigs below. As ever more (frequent updates on Twitface etc. We’re gonna be at some festivals so stay tuned for those!
